Our client seeks a Payroll Specialist in Acton, Ontario, to accurately process biweekly payroll for 200 employees. This role emphasizes precision and solid payroll legislation knowledge.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of three years of experience in payroll, particularly in unionized settings. You’ll process payroll using PayWorks, maintain comprehensive records, and ensure compliance with multi-provincial regulations and union agreements. Your analytical and problem-solving skills will be critical in addressing payroll discrepancies and providing support during audits.

Key Responsibilities:



• Execute full-cycle payroll for hourly and salaried employees • Ensure accurate payroll records and reports • Prepare and submit all necessary statutory filings • Handle union payroll processes and agreements • Manage aspects of Quebec payroll effectively

Requirements: • At least three years of payroll experience • Proven experience with union payroll • Deep understanding of Canadian payroll regulations • PCP designation or progress toward it preferred • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
