Drive change as a Senior Accountant - Revenue at Yonge Street Mission, located in the Toronto Metro area. This full time role emphasizes managing revenue for a vital non-profit initiative.
The ideal candidate for this role will oversee revenue accounting and ensure compliance with Accounting Standards for Not-for-Profit Organizations (ASNPO). A CPA designation (or progress towards) along with 5 years of accounting experience, particularly in the non-profit sector, is essential. You’ll be instrumental in supporting financial reporting, audits, and revenue management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee compliance of revenue transactions with ASNPO
• Manage month-end closure and financial reporting processes




• Prepare journal entries and audits supporting documentation
• Ensure proper grant and donor contribution management
• Work closely with cross-functional teams for accurate revenue tracking
Requirements:
• CPA designation preferred or in progress
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• Minimum 5 years relevant accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of internal controls
• Advanced Excel skills essential
