The successful candidate will gain valuable experience in customer service, administration, employment programming, outreach,



and community engagement within a fast‑paced social services environment.This position offers an excellent chance for students pursuing studies in social services, community development, human resources, business administration, or related fields who are looking to build practical workplace skills and experience.ACCOUNTABILITIESProvide administrative support to the Employment Services team, including receiving and directing phone calls and welcoming walk‑in clients.Assist clients by providing information about available programs, services, and community resources.Support clients with basic navigation of job search tools, online resources, and self‑service employment supports.Assist with preparation for hiring events, job fairs, and community outreach activities.Participate in outreach initiatives and community engagement activities throughout the region.Work collaboratively with team members to support Employment Ontario service [TT1] delivery and organizational initiatives.Complete general administrative duties including data entry, filing, photocopying, scanning, and document preparation.Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when interacting with clients, employers, and community partners.Perform other duties as assigned by the Employment Services Manager.QUALIFICATIONSPost‑secondary student enrolled in career development, social services, community services, business administration, human resources, or a related field preferred.Previous customer service, administrative,



or community service experience considered an asset.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent organizational and time management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Comfortable interacting with individuals from diverse backgrounds.Attention to detail and professionalism.Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office applications, email systems, and online databases.Valid First Aid certification considered an asset.SUPERVISIONThe Summer Administrative Assistant will be supervised by the Employment Services Manager and will work closely with the Employment Services team to support day‑to‑day service delivery and community initiatives.The successful candidate will gain exposure to Employment Ontario programming delivered through the EmployNext network under the leadership of Serco Canada Inc. as Service System Manager. The role will provide opportunities to participate in team meetings, community activities, and employment‑related programming to support skilled growth and skill development.Strict adherence to organizational confidentiality and privacy policies is required for this position.ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORTAs a charitable organization, CONTACT Community Services relies on community engagement, fundraising activities, and special events.
