They mainly operate within commercial and institutional buildings, however, do sometimes get involved in some residential work.You will join the team of experts in the office and have a real opportunity to learn from the best. They have a collaborative approach to their projects that a lot of the big companies don’t, meaning you will work through challenges of these large scale projects as a unit and you will always feel supported as you succeed and grow as a team.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPlease see below for an insight on the day-to-day duties of the role:Oversee the scopes related to all mechanical systems on the project to ensure the project to be completed on time and budgetManage projects from pre-construction to completionProviding technical insight throughout to avoid issues and to be cost effectivePrepare contacts when requiredRegular reviews of change ordersAssist with take offs and bidding on new jobsCoach and mentor more junior members of the teamAnalyze site progress with regular site walkthroughsBuild relationships with Project Managers and Superintendents to work cohesively towards the same goalsLead and manage all stakeholders involved, including: subs, consultants, and internal teamsManage RFI’s, shop drawings and general administrationPartner with all MEP trades and lead from the frontAssisting with budgets, schedules and cash flow projectsHelp with defining roles and scopes of workRegular status check ins on M&E aspects of the project, confirming everything is being reported correctlyMonitor the material and labour costs for the M&E scopesOther requirements as assignedRequirements2+ Years as a Project Manager with some time spent in a PC/Junior PM beforeWill also consider Junior Project Managers or Project Coordinators with 5+ years of experience that feel they are ready to step up into a new roleMust have estimating experienceMust have worked on projects in North AmericaLooking for at least one project to have been managed start to finish, this could be ICI (TI) or residentialHave an in-depth technical understanding of mechanical systemsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong relationship building skillsProficient with computer systems and programmesCompensation and BenefitsSalary range $90,000 - $120,0003 weeks vacationMedical and dental perksPhone and laptop providedEducational training opportunities#J-18808-Ljbffr
