Job Requisition ID 26WD97713Position OverviewAt Autodesk, we empower those who imagine, design, and create a better world for everyone.Our Field Delivery team builds software used by construction workers on active job sites where connectivity is limited, conditions are unpredictable, and reliability is required. We're looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a team within our Field Delivery group. This role has significant operational responsibilities.You’ll manage a team of software engineers, QA, and DevOps, keeping execution on track, processes running smoothly, and quality high across the codebase. A key part of this role is representing the team across the broader Autodesk organization. You’ll collaborate with trust, security, privacy, compliance, and other cross‑functional teams to ensure we meet organizational standards and deliver on our commitments.You’ll also own quality across the codebase, making sure the team has the processes, tools, and culture to ship reliable software at a sustainable pace.This is a role for someone who is equally comfortable in a one‑on‑one with a direct report, a planning meeting with product leadership, and a technical review with the security team. You care about people, you care about operational excellence, and you know how to get things done across organizational boundaries.ResponsibilitiesManage and mentor a team of software engineers, QA, and DevOpsConduct regular one‑on‑ones, annual reviews, and career development conversationsHelp fill open roles on the team, including participating in recruiting, interviewing, and hiringSource, onboard,



and manage contractors as needed to support deliverySet clear expectations, provide direct feedback, and address performance issues when neededPartner with product management and engineering leadership to define roadmaps, priorities, and timelinesDrive execution across the team, removing blockers and ensuring projects ship on time and at a high quality barOwn quality across the codebase, ensuring the team maintains solid test coverage, code review standards, and release processesCollaborate with Autodesk trust, security, privacy, and compliance teams to ensure our platform meets organizational and regulatory requirementsRepresent the team in cross‑organizational planning, audits, and reviewsDrive incident response and postmortem processes, fostering a culture of accountability and learningEstablish and maintain engineering processes that balance velocity with reliability and complianceManage team budgeting, resource allocation, and vendor relationshipsBuild a team culture grounded in transparency, ownership, and continuous improvementMinimum Qualifications8+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years in an engineering management roleExperience managing teams across multiple disciplines (software, QA, DevOps)Experience sourcing, managing,



and holding contractors accountableExperience partnering with security, privacy, compliance, or trust teams in an enterprise workplaceStrong understanding of software development practices, CI/CD, and quality assurance processesExperience owning and improving code quality and release processes across a teamAbility to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholdersExperience with budgeting and resource managementYou lead with empathy, hold a high bar, and create an environment where people do their best workPreferred QualificationsExperience managing teams building web and mobile applicationsFamiliarity with our technology stack: React, React Native, Python/Django, PostgreSQL, AWSExperience working within compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, FedRAMP, or similarExperience managing distributed or remote engineering teamsBackground in construction, workforce management, or field operations softwareExperience driving adoption of AI tools and agents to improve engineering productivityExperience managing teams that support field‑facing or offline‑first applicationsSalary TransparencySalary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $156,000 and $228,800. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.#J-18808-Ljbffr
