Join the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury as a Wastewater Operator, contributing to the operation and maintenance of our up-to-date Water Pollution Control Plant. Utilize your skills with wastewater systems and equipment for community support.
This role reports directly to the Wastewater Treatment Plant Supervisor and involves hands-on responsibilities. Candidates should possess an MOE license in Wastewater Treatment or Collection and a commitment to further training. Engagement with the community is vital, as well as maintaining the state-of-the-art Class IV Plant and Class III Collection Systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain the Class IV Water Pollution Control Plant
• Use Vactor truck for sewer flushing and repairs
• Perform daily lab tests and microscopic analysis




• Manage inspection and repairs of wastewater treatment systems
• Interact professionally with customers and contractors
Requirements:
• MOE Wastewater Treatment and Collection OIT license (or above)
• Diploma/degree in Environmental Technology preferred
• Knowledge of SCADA/PLC systems required
• Ability to work after hours for emergencies
• Valid Class “G” driver’s license with a clean record
