At Jake’s Grill and Oyster House , fresh oysters and seafood are our specialties. We’ve been proudly serving the Burlington community since 1985, and we’re looking for an experienced Server to join our team.

- We’re not open late – typically until 10 PM on weekdays, 11 PM Friday and Saturday, and 9 PM Sunday

Many of our employees have been with us for more than five years, and some have been part of the Jake’s team for over 20 years.

What You’ll Do

As a Server, you will:

- Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive service

- Take accurate food and beverage orders

- Deliver food and drinks promptly and accurately

- Recommend appetizers, meals, beverages, and specials

- Learn our menu and confidently answer guest questions

- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on food, wine, and beverages

- Work closely with the kitchen, bartenders, and management

- Address guest questions or concerns quickly and professionally

- Help set and rearrange tables for larger parties

- Work as part of a team to keep service running smoothly

Schedule

This is a full-time position requiring flexible availability for:

- Day shifts

- Evening shifts

- Weekends

We’re looking for someone interested in a long-term opportunity , not just a short-term job.

Qualifications

- Previous experience working as a Server or Bartender in a restaurant

- Smart Serve certification

- Knowledge of wine and beverages

Strong communication and customer service skills

- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

- Flexible availability for days, evenings, and weekends
