Exams and assessment tools administered include, but are not limited to college course exams, Accuplacer placement tests and MCTU Exemption Tests. The proctor will also be a valuable member of the Student Success Services team and will assist with the monitoring of the Student Success Resource Centre and help redirect students to the appropriate support when testing is not in progress.Qualifications:One-year certificate or equivalent in Office Administration or related field of studyMinimum one year of experience in a professional office setting, post-secondary experience is preferredAwareness and understanding of disabilities and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) standardsKnowledge of Assistive Technology (Kurzweil) is considered an assetExcellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated skills with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word,
Excel and SharePointDemonstrated time management skills and ability to work autonomouslyMust be able to reliably commute or relocate to North Bay, ON requiredResponsibilities:Proctor tests that are offered through Student Support Services such as accommodated tests, deferred tests, mature student tests and Ministry Exemption examsEnsure testing takes place per Canadore and Student Success Resource Centre policies and proceduresEnsure specific test administration requirements outlined by the test provider or vendor (e.G., Accuplacer), and all disability-related accommodations are put into placeEnsure the setup and troubleshooting of individual tests and exams are carried out dailyGreet students and check identificationEnsure only approved materials are allowed in testing areaEnsure student's testing accommodations are applied correctlyMonitor the Student Success Resource Centre while tests are in progressRespond to unexpected occurrences with professionalism, tact and a calm demeanorCollect and store completed tests in a secure location until exams can be delivered or picked upGreet students who come into the Resource Centre and direct them to the appropriate supportsOther duties as assignedApplications will be accepted by the Organizational Development and Talent Management Department through our Career Portal https://www.Canadorecollege.Ca/about/careers until 12:00 p.M., on the closing date.
