Take on a vital role with Credit Valley Conservation as a Hydrology Specialist focused on flood risk assessment and modeling. This full time position aims to enhance our natural environment.

As you support floodplain management, you will report to the Manager of Hydrology and Hydraulics. The role requires planning and executing projects, including hydraulic modeling and data analysis. You'll utilize sophisticated software to assess potential flooding and work closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities: • Support hydrology model development and maintenance • Create and analyze floodplain hazard maps • Assist with data management in flood risk assessments • Maintain flood forecasting and warning systems • Guide planning staff on hydrology models

Requirements: • Bachelor’s in Water Resources Engineering or similar • 3-5 years of relevant modeling experience • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Knowledge of flood management policies • Effective communicator with project management skills
