Your role will require accurate preparation and calculation as MDA 's payroll is serviced in-house, and your contribution is essential to the Payroll & Finance team 's success.ResponsibilitiesAdministering the bi-weekly end to end payroll cycle and the employee benefit processAdministering the GL and month end activitiesPreparing payroll related remittancesProcessing all items related to onboarding, terminations and maintenanceProcessing bi-weekly monthly pay reportsProcessing and balancing year end forms (T4/RL1 's)Maintaining employee records and audit filesAddressing payroll related enquiry and explaining payroll calculations and legislative requirementsMay perform other related duties as assignedJob RequirementsCompletion of Grade 12 and Certification by the Canadian Payroll Association as a Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP)3+ years of related experience in a computerized payroll environmentBilingual - proficient in reading, writing and talking in FrenchKnowledge of the methods, practices and principles used in the preparation, calculation and processing of payrollsAbility to understand and apply payroll relevant regulations and legislationKnowledge of union and non-union is a must, and Quebec employment standards is an assetAbility to effectively liaise with, establish, and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholdersProficiency in Microsoft ExcelExcellent analytical and problem solving skillsClient service-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skillsSelf-motivated; ability to work independently with minimal supervision; ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlinesFamiliarity with UKG (Ultipro) software is considered an assetBenefitsMDA provides competitive compensation and advantages packages for its employees at all locations.
