About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead its organization, which is dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and acquired brain injuries. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the organization's leadership, management, and operationalization, in line with the mission and strategic plan set by the Board of Directors. This role involves strategic planning, external relations, and people management, with a focus on maintaining the organization's solid relationships with government, funders, and the community.
The CEO will also be tasked with advancing the organization's housing and property strategy, as well as the redevelopment of its art studios into sustainable social enterprises.
Candidates for the CEO position at the company should have a university degree, with a graduate degree preferred, and 7-10 years' of experience in a senior leadership role within a complex, human-services organization. Deep familiarity with the community living or developmental disabilities sector, or a closely related government-funded human services background, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial management, strategic planning, and a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion. Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills are required, as is the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders. Experience in labor relations and HR/workforce planning, particularly in a non-union environment, is also a key qualification.
