Plan, coordinate and supervise geotechnical field investigations, including boreholes, SPT, CPT, test pits and instrumentation installation Analyze field and laboratory data to develop soil and rock parameters for design Prepare geotechnical reports and recommendations covering foundations, settlement, slope stability, retaining structures, excavation and dewatering, pavement design and earthworks Provide construction-phase support, including review of submittals, site visits, subgrade and foundation inspections, and resolution of field conditions Conduct engineering assessments for slope instability, including landslide susceptibility, risk assessment, soil characterization, factor of safety and slip surface analysis Coordinate with drilling contractors and geotechnical laboratories, including scheduling, health and safety, and QA/QC of results Act as the local technical point of contact for clients, project managers and contractors in southwestern Ontario Support proposals, scoping and estimating for regional geotechnical work Mentor junior engineers, EITs and field technicians Collaborate with environmental, engineering and construction service lines to deliver integrated projects Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor or manager

Requirements Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering 5 to 10 years of professional experience in geotechnical engineering, ideally in a consulting environment P.Eng. designation in good standing with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), or eligibility to register with PEO promptly Working knowledge of Ontario standards and regulatory environment, including OPSS/OPSD, MTO requirements, Ontario Building Code and O. Reg. 406/19 Experience with geotechnical software such as Slope/W, gINT, PLAXIS, Settle3,



LPile and APile Familiarity with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Google Earth and Microsoft products Experience with field investigation techniques, including soil logging and supervision of auger, sonic and geotechnical drilling programs Ability to produce transparent, defensible technical reports and explain recommendations to clients, contractors and approval authorities Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills Proficiency in spoken and written English Valid Class G Ontario driver's licence Willingness to travel to project sites within southwestern Ontario
