Job Title: Vascular TechnicianLocation: Kingston, ONSchedule: Casual (14-24 hours per week)Hourly Rate of Pay: $32.00 - $42.00Carecor is looking for a skilled and compassionate Vascular Technologist to join our team in Kingston, Ontario. In this role, you will perform high-quality non-invasive vascular diagnostic studies, including peripheral artery and carotid artery Doppler examinations. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, technical expertise, and the ability to interact professionally and empathetically with patients. You will work closely with physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses and deliver optimal patient care.Summary of PositionThe Vascular Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality non-invasive vascular diagnostic studies, including peripheral artery Doppler and carotid artery Doppler examinations. This role requires strong clinical judgment, technical skill, and the ability to interact compassionately and professionally with patients. Your time with us can accommodate career growth as you advance your education and professional credentials.Work SchedulePart‑time position: 14–24 hours per week to start, with potential to increase as patient volume and clientele build.Primarily daytime hours, with occasional evenings a possibility based on patient needs and scheduling.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform peripheral arterial and carotid Doppler ultrasound studiesCapture high‑quality images and data per lab protocolsDocument findings accurately and submit for physician reviewConfirm patient identity, explain procedures, and ensure comfortProvide secure, dignified, and confidential careOperate and maintain ultrasound equipmentFollow infection control and safety protocolsKeep exam rooms clean and organizedCommunicate effectively with healthcare teamsAssist with scheduling and prioritizing urgent studiesSupport quality assurance and accreditation standardsJob QualificationsOur “exemplary standing” with Accreditation Canada is held to the highest regard and is a testament to the fact that we uphold the same hiring standards and patient care delivery as the facilities in which we serve.Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Vascular Technology programPreferred credentials: RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI)CPR/BLS certification and CMRITO registrationExperience with peripheral arterial and carotid Doppler studies (new grads with strong clinical rotations considered)Proficient in non‑invasive vascular testing and equipmentStrong knowledge of vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathologyExcellent communication, critical thinking, and patient care skillsAbility to work independently and manage time effectivelyCOVID‑19 Vaccination PolicyPlease note that based on recent government mandates and directives, healthcare workers are now required to provide proof of full COVID‑19 Vaccination.
