Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay range$110,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yrOn behalf of our FI client, we are seeking a Regulatory Business Analyst that has knowledge and experience with some of the following regulators and regulations (ideally helped implement them):Regulators: CFTC, SEC, ESMA, FCA, HKMA, BOI, CSA, CIRORegulations: MIFID, EMIR, CFTC, SEC, SFTR, MTRS, AMF/OSCThe ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable with rules, who likes digging, with a high level of attention to details and rigor in their work method.ResponsibilitiesBe able to work with all systems delivery framework including agile, hybrid and waterfallWork with product owners to capture business requirements and document them using standard documentation templatesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, document, and analyze business requirementsDevelop and document business process models to illustrate current and future stateConduct detailed business process analysis and develop comprehensive process flow diagrams, user stories, functional specification documents, and use cases to facilitate system design and developmentObtain key inputs from subject matter experts (SMEs), architects, dependent teams and identify solution interdependencies. Accordingly, conduct system mapping and data mappingDevelop detailed user stories, story mapping, stakeholder analysis and acceptance criteria in collaboration with product ownerClearly articulate and document business requirements to enable development and QA teams to deliver the required business & tech functionsAct as a liaison between business user and technical teams, translating business needs into technical specificationsCreate and maintain documentation regarding all aspects of the product, including product operations, compliance, product launch processes,



and system functionalityParticipate in design review and walk-throughSupport testing teams/activities: test plan/case consultation and manage defect triage with appropriate application teamsProvide support during system implementation, including user training and post-implementation activitiesStay up to date on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologiesMust Have ExperienceProven experience as a Regulatory Business Analyst within the financial services industry, with direct involvement in interpreting and implementing regulatory requirements.Strong working knowledge of key global financial regulators, including but not limited to CFTC, SEC, ESMA, FCA, HKMA, BOI, CSA, and CIRO.Hands-on experience implementing and ensuring compliance with major regulatory frameworks such as MIFID, EMIR, CFTC, SEC, SFTR, MTRS, and AMF/OSC.Demonstrated ability to translate complex regulatory mandates into actionable business and system requirements, ensuring rigorous attention to compliance and operational accuracy.Robust experience working across systems delivery frameworks, including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies.Expertise in creating detailed business documentation, including business requirement documents (BRDs), user stories, process models, data/system mappings, and functional specifications.Proven ability to work cross-functionally with business stakeholders, SMEs, product owners, and technical teams to define and deliver regulatory change initiatives.Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to business analysis, with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and auditability.Experience supporting UAT, managing defect triage, and collaborating during design and system implementation phases.Strong communication and documentation skills to support stakeholder engagement, training, and regulatory audits or inquiries.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionInformation TechnologyToronto, Ontario, Canada#J-18808-Ljbffr
