About the role: We're hiring a Chief of Staff to help the company run better as we scale.This is a true generalist role at the center of the business. You'll work across operations, people processes, recruiting support, company rhythms, and leadership execution. You'll help turn priorities into action, connect threads across teams, and make sure work doesn't stall or drift.Our leadership team moves quickly. This role exists to enable them to do their best work without being bogged down by process, while ensuring core company functions like finance, HR, recruiting, and internal operations keep pace in the background.There's no playbook and limited hand-holding. You'll be expected to step into ambiguous problems, figure out what matters, and push things forward.This is an execution-first role. You'll own both the unglamorous basics that keep the company running and the harder, unowned problems that need figuring out.This is a hybrid role based in Vancouver. We are in-office twice per week on Mondays and Thursdays.What you 'll do: Core operationsOwn core company rhythms including all-hands, leadership meetings, and planning cadencesPrepare agendas, track action items, and ensure follow-through on decisionsOwn and maintain key metrics and reporting so leadership has clear visibility into what's happeningKeep the operational "basics" running smoothly even as priorities shiftLeadership supportTake ownership of special projects that don't have a clear home and drive them to resolutionConnect threads across teams and functions to keep work aligned with company goalsIdentify gaps, inefficiencies,



or misalignment and proactively address themUse AI and automation to improve how the company operates across the boardPeople opsOwn onboarding end-to-end so new hires ramp quickly and consistentlyFacilitate recruitment (both internally, and using external recruiters as needed) including scheduling, candidate coordination, and offersHandle operational details like organizing team onsites, office coordination, and internal logisticsMaintain people-related documentation and workflows with care and discretionWhat you 'll bring: 3+ years experience in operations, people ops, or generalist roles in a startup environmentStrong operational judgment and ability to prioritize without constant directionComfort managing up and pushing for follow-through when things stallExperience owning metrics, workflows, and accountabilityPractical experience improving or automating processes after running them manuallyClear, direct communication and strong follow-throughHigh trust, discretion, and ownership mindsetWho you areYou're comfortable being spread across functions and managing tradeoffsYou don't wait for perfect clarity to actYou're organized, direct,
