The Support Centre Director is responsible forproviding leadership support and coverage at a Kepler Academy centre when thehome Centre Director is absence. You will promote excellence in the delivery ofKepler Academy’s core foundation. You will promote and provide a positive workenvironment, relevant feedback, communication to employees and families, propernutrition, and plan daily activities.



You will be accountable for the management of daily operations, overseeing and leading the work of all staff atthe childcare center and business results for the centre and operate in aprofessional manner and ensure quality standards are being met. When coverage is not required at a specific KeplerAcademy centres, this role will provide additional operational support to the Centre Directors. Youwill travel to centres providing administrative heavy support to theoperations, preparing for licensing visit, perform audits to ensure compliance of licensing and health &safety; regulations. This role will support employee training, completion ofvarious checklists and record updates, support centres expansion and variousprojects. This position does not have a designated home centreand is deployed to locations, including the head office. What willyou do?

Provide coverage at a centre when the home Centre Director is absence. Provide support to Centre Director to manage the overall operational, budgetary, andfinancial responsibilities and activities of the centre such as marketingand people management. Operate in a skilled manner and ensureKepler standards are being met and compliance is always maintained. Work with Human Resources Department onrecruitment and retention strategy based on licensing requirements andcentre needs. Provide oversight and direction to theemployees in the centre in accordance with the organization's policies andprocedures. Coach, mentor, and develop staff, includingnew employee onboarding and providing career development planning andopportunities. Consciously create a workplace culture that isconsistent with the overall organization's and that emphasizes theidentified mission, vision, guiding principles, and values of theorganization. Provide effective performance feedback throughemployee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action, with theassistance of Human Resources, when necessary.



Maintain employee work schedules includingtraining, vacations, and paid time off, coverage for absenteeism, andovertime scheduling. Ensure strong relationships developed withfamilies with regular ongoing communication. Community involvement and interaction to buildstrong partnerships. Maintain transparent communication.Appropriately communicate organization information through departmentmeetings, one-on-one meetings, email, and regular interpersonalcommunication. Provide administrative support to the centre Perform audits to ensure compliance with relevant government regulations You will posses the following:

Demonstrated ability to lead, coach anddevelop a department and department staff members Proven leadership in promoting a positiveworkforce environment Strong work ethic Excellent organization and time managementskills Excellent written and spoken communicationskills Computerliteracy: strong skills in Microsoft Office and ability to learn othersystems Solid knowledge & understanding of theProvincial Child Care Regulations Businessknowledge of basic economics, budgeting, accounting principles andpractices is necessary Required Qualifications to Work at Kepler Academy:

A minimum of 5 years Early Childhoodexperience in the Childcare industry Previous experience in a management orassistant manager role Post secondary education in a business-relatedfield, or experience with finances and budgeting would be an asset Child Development Supervisor Certificateissued in the Province of Alberta, Level 3 Standard First Aid Certificate / Level C FirstAid Certificate Vulnerable Sector Police Information Checkissued within the past 6 months Do you not meet the minimumrequirements?
