Site Sanitation Shift LeaderSummaryReporting to the Sanitation Site Leader, as the Sanitation Shift Leader you will provide hands‑on leadership to the Sanitation Team on your respective shift at your own site to ensure all related tasks are performed properly. This includes cleanliness of the plant and external premises, all equipment, machinery and utensils in the production process. and monthly sanitation recordsLeads sanitation personnel onsite and ensuring daily requirements/procedures are carried outConducts SWAB test as necessaryMust be a demonstrated decision‑maker who easily interacts with othersCollects regular water samples, check PH levels and maintain accurate recordsMaintains excellent working relationships with internal departments, external customers and suppliersFollows GMP’s, Food and Health and Safety RegulationsPerforms all job responsibilities under the strictest guidelines of the BRC food safety standardsEnsures all chemicals used in the cleaning process are mixed with a proper solution according to the suppliers’ specificationsEnsures Health & Safety and Food Safety principles are followed and adhered toPerforms other duties as assignedRequired ExperienceMinimum 3‑4 years of experience working in a sanitation environment (food/bakery experience is desirable) with a proven track record of prior leadership experienceMust be a demonstrated leader who easily interacts with others and is adept at leading and motivating a team to meet demands established by the scheduleMust have excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication skills, along with simple mathematical abilitiesAccuracy and attention to detail and the ability to detect the presence of a sanitation issueScissor Lift license is an assetFamiliar with internal and external inspectionsAbility to manage difficult peopleAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionFlexible to work days, afternoons, nights & weekends if neededWorking knowledge of GMP's, HACCP, BRC & O.H.S.A requiredStrong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Post‑secondary education an assetIn compliance with Ontario’s Bill 190, we confirm that this posting represents a current, existing vacancy within our organization.Disclaimer:The above describes the general responsibilities, required knowledge and skills.
