Your tasks will include gathering requirements, understanding constraints,
and collaborating on the design of manufacturing jigs and apparatus. You'll need to interpret technical drawings, work effectively in a team, and use computer software to elaborate your design and maintain records.Qualifications (English)Practical experience and technical knowledge: hands‑on experience in mechanics through internships, school projects, or personal work is a major asset.Robust understanding of mechanical principles and techniques, including knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, equipment, materials, and manufacturing processes.Problem‑solving skills: ability to diagnose, find effective solutions, and implement them.Teamwork and communication: effective collaboration, clear communication, and contribution to a positive work environment.Attention to detail and computer skills: high attention to detail, from reading blueprints to quality checks, and proficiency in diagnostic software and CAD programs.Compensation & BenefitsThe annual pay range for this position is $58,500 – $93,500 CAD.In addition to competitive compensation, Ciena offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans; participation in 401(K)(USA) and DCPP (Canada) with company matching; Employee Stock PurchaseProgram (ESPP); Employee Assistance Program (EAP); company‑paid holidays, paid sick leave, and vacation time.
