BIS Safety Software is a SaaS company on a mission to change how organizations manage safety, learning, and compliance. We sell safety software to businesses and online safety training to the people who need it - and we are looking for a Lifecycle Marketing Manager to own our marketing outreach end to end: the program, the audiences it reaches, and the data underneath it.About the Role:We are hiring you to be the expert, so you set the strategy, run it past marketing leadership, and go. Our ideal candidate isanalytical first: comfortable in messy data, willing to dig for the truth, and organized enough to keep every audience defined and every journey mappedinstead of running on instinct. This role owns two things that depend on each other:the data underneath our marketing funnel, and every message that runs on top of it.We run a course business and a software business side by side, and that gives this program an unusual amount of room. A software buyer, a course buyer, and a prospect who is still deciding all need different content.Your first job ismaking the funnel measurable and trusted. You will help settle what a lead means at each stage and keep records staged against it, decide what we send and to whom, hold the line on consent, and produce the reporting we judge marketing performance by. You will build it yourself, working closely with our web team wherever tracking spans our properties, and with the support of marketing leadership and a growing marketing team. HubSpot is our system of record, and you will own many of its processes. This is a build role- it's the foundation to our email and lead tracking. Our email outreach currently runs across several disconnected systems, our nurture program is only partly built, and there are many customers who have never received a lifecycle message from us. Best practices, automated flows, and new designs are all still to be built, and all of it has to hold up to thecomplianceobligations we operate under. How well we capture leads and run lifecycle marketing shapes the experience every potential customer has with us.This is an in-person rolebased out of our Sherwood Park, Alberta office. In this role, you'll be expected to:Build and run the email programacross our course business, our software funnel, and the messages our training platform sends learners, including a general subscription program and the capture mechanism we do not have todayBuild the audiences and journeys : who sits in each group, what they care about,
and what they should receive at each stageOwn consent and complianceunder CASL and CAN-SPAM as standing practice rather than a one time cleanupOwn much of how HubSpot runs as our system of record : lifecycle stages, properties, workflows, and reportingFix and hold lead data accuracyso records are added and staged correctly and the funnel can be trustedBuild attribution you can stand behind, so we can say what email actually produced in leads and course revenueBuild the reporting and scoreboards leadership makes decisions from, and be accountable for those numbers being rightAutomate lead routing, and manage the flow of outbound leads from our external partner into our systemsWork across product and webon system side email such as course launches, abandoned carts, and upsells, and so tracking stays consistent and correct across our propertiesProtect reseller cross-brandingso partner customers never receive email that promotes BIS over the partnerBring in outside specialistsfor technical or copy work where it makes sense, and review what they produce before it shipsYou might be the right fit if you:Built an email program from scratchrather than inheriting and running someone else'sBuilt multiple trigger and audience based flowsdriven by real behaviour, not one list on a scheduleRan lists in the thousands to tens of thousandswith distinct segments, and can explain how the content changed at each stageUntangled a CRM that years of good intentions had made incoherent, figured out what was actually happening in it, and rebuilt it into something that held togetherBuild in the platform yourself. You write the workflows and set the properties rather than briefing someone else to do itRead the numbers instinctively. The systems here only come together through data, and that matters to us more than design polishDistinguish a software buyer from a course buyerand build accordinglyTreat consent and deliverability as part of the craftrather than someone else's problemOwn what goes out.Once send is pressed it is gone,
so typos and broken links are not part of the dealWork across teamsto define an integration objective and get it built, without needing to write the code yourselfQualifications we are looking for:4+ years in email marketing, lifecycle marketing, or marketing operations experienceDeep hands-on experience in HubSpot or a comparable platform (Klaviyo, Listrak, Mailchimp, etc): workflows, lifecycle stages, custom properties, and reportingWorking knowledge of Canadian anti-spam law (CASL) and the equivalent obligations elsewhere (US)Lead generation or lead funnel experience, with real understanding of how lifecycle stages workPractical understanding of attribution and data hygiene inside a CRM, and the confidence to say when a number is wrongA track record of building email or nurture programs that produced measurable results you can point toBonus points if you have:B2B SaaS experience, where the lead is the conversionRun both a consumer or eCommerce funnel and a B2B funnel at the same companyIntegration work: APIs, Zapier, or moving data between systems that were not designed to talk to each otherMigrated or consolidated marketing platformsPut AI tools to work in your own workflow: analysis, QA, copy, or buildCompensation and perks:Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)Full medical, dental, and vision coverageLife insurance and disability insuranceHealth spending accountFlexible working hoursOn-the-job training and growth opportunitiesFree on-site parking$70,000 - $90,000 a yearSalary ranges are based on experience, reflecting the unique skillset each individual brings to the role.About BIS:BIS Safety Software has been headquartered in Sherwood Park, Alberta, since 2006. We build software that helps organizations manage safety training, learning, and compliance - and we’re growing!A few things that make us different: we don’t use job titles internally - we value humility and contribution over hierarchy. We move fast, integrate new ideas quickly, and give people real ownership of their work. And through our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), you have the opportunity to own a piece of the company you’re helping build. We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans.
