We are Sonya and James, based in Richmond Hill, Ontario. We are looking for an experienced, highly detail oriented housekeeper to help care for our family home approximately four hours per day, Monday through Friday.

This is a permanent position for someone who takes genuine pride in maintaining a beautiful, exceptionally clean and organized home.

The role includes:

- Daily cleaning and tidying, with deeper cleaning incorporated throughout the week
- Maintaining kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas to a high standard
- Laundry, linens, folding and putting clothing away
- Making and changing beds
- Keeping cupboards, drawers, closets and household areas organized
- Noticing and taking care of things that need attention without waiting to be asked
- Preparing a healthy family dinner each day (M-F)
- Preparing or organizing school lunches for the following day
- Keeping the kitchen clean and organized following meal preparation
- Occasional household errands or grocery organization

Who we are looking for:

We are specifically looking for someone with at least 3 years of professional housekeeping experience, ideally working in a private family home.

You should be someone who naturally notices the details:



fingerprints on a cabinet, dust on a baseboard, a drawer that needs organizing, laundry that needs putting away or something in the refrigerator that needs attention.

You should be comfortable working independently and deciding how best to use your time each day.

Good home cooking is also an important part of the position. We are looking for simple, healthy family meals rather than elaborate cooking. (2 adults, 2 children - ages 13, 10)

Schedule

- Monday to Friday
- Approximately 4 hours per day
- Ideally late morning through afternoon so dinner can be prepared before the end of the shift
- Approximately 20 guaranteed hours per week

Compensation

28 to 35/hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

- Minimum 3 years of paid skilled housekeeping experience
- Private household experience strongly preferred
- Strong references from previous employers
- Confident preparing family meals
- Able to work independently
- Reliable transportation to Oak Ridges
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Comfortable completing a reference and background check
