About RPAThe Revelstoke Paddlesport Association (RPA) is seeking enthusiastic, community‑minded individuals to help support and grow paddlesport in Revelstoke. We are currently hiring for two positions: Operations Manager and Paddling Program Coordinator. There is the possibility of combining both roles for the right candidate.Who We AreThe Revelstoke Paddlesport Association is a vibrant, volunteer‑driven organization dedicated to building an inclusive paddling community through recreation, skill development, events, stewardship, and youth programming. From community races and kids camps to Paddle Fest and river conservation initiatives, we aim to foster a lifelong love of paddlesport in the Revelstoke area.Job DetailsPermanent Part‑Time, approx. 10 hours/week. Start Date: August 1, 2026.ResponsibilitiesPrepare, submit, and manage grant applicationsPrepare and track the RPA and Revelstoke PaddleFest annual budgetsLead member communications, including newsletters, social media, and stakeholder outreachCoordinate communications with members, partners, sponsors, and community stakeholdersAttend board meetings and support strategic initiativesAssist with programming coordination and operational tasksSupport volunteers and community engagement initiativesMaintain accurate financial records, including bookkeeping, expense tracking, and account reconciliation using QuickBooksSupport monthly and annual financial reporting in collaboration with the Treasurer and BoardRequired QualificationsExperience with grant writing and administrationExceptional organizational, written, verbal,
and interpersonal communication skillsExperience managing social media and digital communicationsFamiliarity with website maintenance (Squarespace preferred)Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervisionAbility to set priorities, manage multiple tasks, coordinate logistics, and maintain attention to detailProficiency with QuickBooks or similar accounting softwareProficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applicationsPassion for paddlesports, outdoor recreation and community organizationsHold a valid Class 5 drivers license (or equivalent)Desired QualificationsDegree or diploma in a related fieldKnowledge of paddlesports across multiple disciplines, including whitewater kayaking, rafting, canoeing, and SUPCKC L2I1 certificationSwiftwater Rescue Technician certification40‑hour wilderness or occupational first aid certificationWork EnvironmentThis position is based in Revelstoke, BC and requires a home office. The successful candidate must provide their own laptop computer, cell phone, secure internet connection, and appropriate workspace. Candidates will be required to attend monthly in‑person board meetings in Revelstoke and support programming and events as needed. Work schedule is versatile, averaging approximately 10 hours per week.
