Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires robust communication skills, classroom experience, and a passion for early childhood education. Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly desirable, along with experience working with children with disabilities or in special education settings.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote active learning and development.
Foster a positive classroom workplace that encourages curiosity, creativity, and social interaction.
Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians as needed.
Support children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or special educational requirements.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress reports, and other documentation.
Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities and ensure a cohesive educational approach.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's development and classroom activities.
Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times within the classroom setting.
Utilize computer skills for record keeping, lesson planning, and communication purposes.
Skills
Proficiency in English.
Experience with childcare, early childhood education, or classroom teaching.
Knowledge of special education practices and working with children with disabilities.
Excellent communication skills—verbal and written—to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
Robust organizational skills to manage classroom activities and documentation efficiently.
Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities while working collaboratively within a team.
Effective time management skills to balance lesson planning, instruction, and assessment tasks.
Computer literacy including basic operation of educational software and record-keeping tools.
Compassionate approach to teaching that emphasizes patience, understanding, and inclusivity.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
