Haven Lobby Bar is the heart of the guest dining experience at the Best Western Plus Okotoks. We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. This role is essential in delivering high-quality meals and ensuring our hotel guests enjoy an exceptional dining experience from start to finish.

The ideal candidate is confident working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, has a strong understanding of food preparation and safety, and takes pride in consistency, teamwork, and quality. Our Cooks also play an key role in creating a positive, safe, and respectful workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and Haven Lobby Bar standards
Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes
Assist with food preparation, ensuring ingredients are fresh and properly stored
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices
Adhere to all health, safety, and food safety regulations
Participate in training to improve cooking skills and culinary knowledge

Skills & Qualifications




Solid knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
Previous experience in a restaurant, bar, or hotel kitchen environment preferred
Ability to use kitchen equipment and tools (knives, grills, ovens, fryers, etc.)
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A passion for cooking and delivering consistently great food
