Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all supplies are ready for procedures
Assist dentists during examinations, cleanings, orthodontic adjustments, and other dental treatments with precision and care
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring patient safety and compliance with safety protocols
Manage patient records using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Epic, accurately documenting procedures and notes
Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort during visits
Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, confirming patient details, and managing check-in/check-out processes as a dental receptionist
Maintain strict infection control standards by following sterilization procedures and handling dental materials responsibly
Experience
Previous experience in dental assisting or related healthcare roles is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic is a plus
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry enhances communication with team members and patients
Experience working with pediatric patients or in orthodontics settings is advantageous
Basic understanding of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tools used in orthodontic appliance fabrication is beneficial
Strong organizational skills combined with the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment are essential
