Job Title: Journeyman Electrician
Location: Sunridge Ski Area, Edmonton, AB

We’re looking for a Journeyman Electrician to join our maintenance team for the upcoming winter season at Sunridge Ski Area. This is a full time seasonal position running from September through April, with the potential for year-round employment for the right candidate.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are quite the same. You’ll work alongside our maintenance team to help keep the hill operating safely and smoothly throughout the winter season.

Responsibilities include:
Electrical maintenance and installations
Preventive maintenance and corrective repairs
Troubleshooting chairlift and conveyor drive systems, safety PLCs, and electrical/hydraulic systems and schematics.
Maintenance of snow groomers, snowmobiles and other vehicles/equipment
Supporting the maintenance team with day-to-day operations
General chairlift maintenance

Requirements:
Journeyman Electrician certification




Minimum 2 years of experience performing electrical maintenance and installations
Solid knowledge of electrical equipment and systems
Commercial or industrial electrical experience and knowledge is considered an asset
A high degree of initiative, creativity and self-supervision
Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to safety
Adaptable availability, including weekends, evenings, overtime and schedule changes as required during the winter season
Comfortable climbing ladders and towers and working at heights with proper PPE
A team-oriented attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed
