Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental practice for a full-time position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental assisting and sterilization duties, with knowledge of periodontics and orthodontics an asset. Familiarity with Tracker is a bonus.
Responsibilities:
Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
Prepare patients for treatment and ensure their comfort
Take dental radiographs (x-rays) and maintain patient records
Manage the sterilization duties to the public health standards and documentation
Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant
Knowledge of medical terminology and dental procedures
Experience in orthodontics and/or periodontics is highly desirable
Familiarity with Tracker software is a plus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Certification in dental assisting preferred
