Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Low Voltage (Voice, Data, and Fiber) Cabling Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex voice, data, and fiber optic cabling systems across various commercial and industrial environments. Your expertise will ensure seamless communication networks, reliable telecommunication systems, and high-performance computer networking infrastructure. Responsibilities
Installation, termination and testing of telecommunication cabling
Troubleshooting, repairing and servicing of installed telecommunication cabling
Install network racks and cabinets
Interpret and execute blue prints and construction drawings, work orders, and special requirements
Be customer oriented and provide professional customer service when fulfilling customer requests
Report and update project managers on state of projects




Complete detailed and accurate paperwork as required
Be creative, adaptable, and flexible in problem solving and completing tasks
May be required to work evenings, weekends, and overtime
May be required to travel

Experience
Experience installing data, voice, security and video cabling
Robust mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools such as crimpers, cutters, testers, and drills
Knowledge of electrical fundamentals relevant to low voltage wiring and telecommunication infrastructure
Prior experience working with electrical or telecommunications projects involving low voltage wiring is preferred

Required Qualifications
A valid Manitoba driver’s license with access to a vehicle
Commitment to following safe work practices
Final candidates must successfully complete a background screening and criminal record check.

Pay: $18.85-$24.00 per hour
