Rotational 7 on / 7 off position open in Fort St. James transporting passengers to a job site. The position requires an experienced and qualified driver who is familiar with the area and driving on forestry roads and in varying weather conditions. The successful applicant must not only demonstrate a commitment to safety, customer service and effective time management skills, but be able to handle difficult or unexpected situations. This position operates on a rotational basis - one week on, one week off.

Characteristic of Duties:
Safely operate a bus to transport passengers, adhering to traffic laws and site protocols
Ensure passenger safety
Provide courteous and professional customer service




Maintain the cleanliness and fueling of the bus
Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, passengers, and team members
Report delays, incidents, and mechanical issues promptly
Manage emergency situations and direct evacuations when necessary
Use two-way radios and emergency communication devices (e.g., SPOT, ZOLEO)
Follow PHO policies and procedures

Employment requirements:
Minimum 3 years experience
Clean D & A
Clean drivers abstract
Class 1 or 2 driver's license with air brake endorsement

Knowledge:
Ability to use and learn new technology
Effective communication skills
Some mechanical knowledge an asset
Proven experience driving in varying conditions and on forestry service roads
Ability to work independently and adapt to evolving technologies and policies

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: $320.00-$330.00 per day
