We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Worker to join our team. This role involves engaging with youth and young adults in a supportive environment, fostering their development and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with complex needs, demonstrating patience, empathy, and strong teaching skills. Duties
Provide one-on-one support and mentorship to help youth develop social, emotional, and life skills
Assist in creating a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all participants
Collaborate with team members to support individual goals and progress
Monitor behavior and intervene as necessary to promote respectful interactions
Support educational and recreational programs designed to enhance learning and personal growth
Maintain accurate records of participation,
progress, and incidents as required
Requirements
Prior experience working with youth or individuals with complex needs is highly preferred
Strong communication and teaching skills to effectively engage youth of diverse backgrounds
Demonstrated patience, empathy, and ability to handle challenging situations calmly
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Flexibility to adapt activities based on individual needs and program goals
Must be reliable, responsible, and committed to fostering a positive environment for youth
A background check may be required to ensure safety for all participants
Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
