Job Overview

Blenz Coffee at the HOpe Centre in North Vancouver is looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Part-Time Barista to join our team.

No previous barista experience? No problem! We are happy to train the right candidate. We are looking for someone who is willing to learn, enjoys working with people, and can provide friendly and efficient service to our customers.

This is a part-time position with versatile scheduling, with shifts available on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Responsibilities
Prepare and serve coffee, espresso beverages, teas, blended drinks, and other menu items
Take customer orders and operate the POS system accurately
Handle cash, debit, and credit transactions
Greet customers and provide friendly, qualified service
Answer customer questions and assist with menu selections
Prepare and handle food items safely
Keep the café, counters, equipment, and work areas clean and organized
Restock ingredients, supplies, and packaging as needed
Follow food safety and workplace safety procedures
Complete opening and closing duties as required
Work efficiently during busy periods




Work cooperatively with other team members to ensure smooth café operations

Qualifications
Previous barista, café, food-service, or customer-service experience is an asset, but not required
Training will be provided to the right candidate
Friendly and positive attitude
Reliable and punctual
Solid communication and customer-service skills
Willingness to learn and follow instructions
Basic math skills for handling transactions and providing correct change
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to stand for extended periods
FoodSafe certification is an asset
