About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Production Lead Hand to oversee daily shop floor operations in our manufacturing facility. In this role, you will coordinate workflow, lead a small team of production workers, and ensure that quality and efficiency targets are met — all while maintaining a secure and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and support production staff to meet daily output goals
Ensure all work follows standardized manufacturing processes and quality control procedures
Assign tasks, monitor progress, and troubleshoot issues on the production line
Train new hires on equipment operation, safety protocols, and work instructions
Maintain accurate production records, including downtime, scrap, and output reports
Collaborate with supervisors and other departments to improve workflow and efficiency
Enforce workplace safety and cleanliness standards at all times

Qualifications
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing workplace,



with at least 1 year in a lead hand or supervisory role
Experience in furniture manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication is strongly preferred
Solid understanding of standardized production systems (e.g., lean manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement)
Fluent in English – must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with team members, supervisors, and support departments
Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and basic technical drawings
Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to [e.g., 50 lbs]

Preferred (Nice to Have)
Educational background in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a related field
Experience with CNC equipment, press brakes, or welding processes
Forklift certification or first aid/CPR training
