Nondestructive Testing Technician Job Description

Job Summary
Atomic NDT Ltd. is currently seeking a CGSB Level 2 NDT Technician (minimum RT2 & MT2 preferred ) to add to our growing team in Central Alberta. We are also hiring sub contractors who have their own truck/units and are looking for additional work .

Duties
Perform Radiographic Testing (RT2) and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT2) inspections in accordance with CGSB, company, and client standards.

Requirements:
CGSB Level 2 certifications in Radiographic Testing (RT2) - required and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT2) – preferred
Strong work ethic with a commitment to professionalism
Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with clients
Exceptional safety awareness and commitment to quality standards
Strong problem-solving skills with effective time management
Self-motivated and capable of working at a high technical and performance level
Valid driver’s license
Set up, calibrate, and operate RT and MT equipment, ensuring proper use, care, and compliance with safety requirements (including radiation safety protocols).




Interpret test results, identify defects, and prepare explicit, accurate inspection reports and documentation.
Follow established standards, procedures, and project requirements to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to timelines.
Demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills when working with crews and clients in office.
Maintain positive client relationships by providing skilled service and ensuring inspection activities meet operational and safety objectives.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
