About the position

The London Ledger Bar + Grill is hiring a friendly, dependable Server who enjoys welcoming guests and delivering attentive service. Our restaurant offers a breakfast buffet, bar-and-grill favourites, and a selection of beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages.

You’ll help guests feel welcome, take accurate orders, and work closely with the kitchen and service teams to create a positive dining experience.

Responsibilities
Welcome guests, present menus, and answer questions about food and beverages.
Take accurate orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system.
Communicate allergies, dietary requests, and order changes clearly to the kitchen.
Serve food and beverages promptly and check on guests throughout their visit.
Follow responsible alcohol service procedures, including checking identification when required.
Prepare bills and process cash and card payments accurately.
Transparent, clean, and reset tables, and keep service areas stocked and organized.
Support breakfast buffet service and communicate replenishment needs.




Address guest concerns professionally and involve a supervisor when needed.
Complete opening and closing duties and assist teammates during service.

Qualifications
Previous restaurant serving or hospitality experience preferred.
Friendly, professional communication and solid attention to detail.
Ability to manage several tables and prioritize requests during busy periods.
Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and payment handling is an asset.
Dependable attendance and a cooperative approach to teamwork.
Valid Serving It Right certification, or a recognized equivalent accepted in B.C., required before serving alcohol.
FOODSAFE Level 1 certification, or a B.C.-recognized equivalent, preferred.
