Downtown Markham Health is seeking an experienced, friendly, and dependable Level II Dental Assistant to join our team on a part time basis.

We are looking for someone who is professional, organized, and confident working in a busy dental workplace while providing excellent care and support to our patients and dental team.

Schedule

This is a part-time position with the following set schedule:
Every Monday: 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Alternating Fridays: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Alternating Saturdays: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

Applicants must be available to work all of the above scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities
Chairside assisting during a variety of dental procedures
Prepare treatment rooms and ensure they are properly stocked
Take digital dental X-rays
Perform Level II dental assisting duties
Follow proper sterilization and infection-control protocols
Maintain accurate patient records
Assist with room turnover and preparation between patients
Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and the front desk team
Help maintain an organized, productive, and patient-focused clinical environment

Qualifications




Level II Dental Assistant certification required
Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience required
Dentrix knowledge and experience required
Strong knowledge of sterilization and infection-control procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable, organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Skilled and friendly approach with patients and team members
