Under the direction and leadership of the Service Department Manager, the General Laborer assumes responsibility for all general laborer duties . They will ensure work tasks are performed safely in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety Legislation and company policies and that work is performed with a high level of quality and timeliness.

This position requires the operation of company fleet vehicles as part of regular job duties. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s licence and be able to provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract and driving insurance history that meet the Company’s fleet insurance requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Move office and residential furniture
Move and Gather Materials: Loading, unloading, and transporting materials manually or with equipment.
Drive company fleet pick up truck on public roadway as/when required
Following Instruction: Receiving and carrying out instructions from supervisors, tradespeople and other workers.
Use hand and power tools.
General Maintenance: cleaning and maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas.
Site Preparation: Cleaning up debris and preparing the work area.
Ensuring Safety: Maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to safety guidelines and protocols.




Work inside and outside as/when required
Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications
Previous Laborer experience
Ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects.
Ability to take direction and follow through on instructions.
General construction safety knowledge.
Committed dedication to safety; reflected in practice and experience
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently in a demanding workplace
Ability to work effectively with others in a team setting.

Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
Ability to wear PPE
Ability to lift up to 25kg
