Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at various locations in Sherwood Park. This role is vital in fostering a protected, nurturing, and stimulating workplace where young children can learn, grow, and develop essential skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with diverse groups of children, including those with special needs. Duties
Plan and implement engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of young children
Create a protected, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
Observe and assess children's progress, documenting developmental milestones and areas for growth
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to promote open communication and collaboration
Support children's social-emotional development through guidance, encouragement, and appropriate behavioral strategies
Assist with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and outdoor play




Adapt teaching methods to accommodate children with disabilities or special needs, ensuring all children receive equitable support
Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials and learning spaces

Experience
Prior experience working with children in educational or caregiving settings is highly desirable
Classroom experience in early childhood education or related fields is preferred
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a valuable asset
Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices in teaching young children
Robust communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and community partners
Certification or training in early childhood education or caregiving is advantageous

Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
