ROLESurerus is looking to hire a Loader Operator to support operations in our Fort St John location. Our culture emphasizes continued growth, commitment, and career development with a challenging and engaging work environment.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESComply with Surerus Safety practices and proceduresOperate loaders, and other heavy equipment as required, safely and efficientlyLoad and unload materials, tools, and equipmentPerform daily equipment inspections, maintenance, and lubrication to ensure machinery is in good working orderCoordinate with team members to place or move materials and equipment accuratelyMaintain a clean and safe working environmentComplete daily Field Level Hazard AssessmentsPerform additional tasks such as leveling land, spreading material or snow removal depending on site needsNote: In addition to these duties personnel are required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required in order to support the objectives of the company.POSITION REQUIREMENTSQualificationsCertification or experience operating front-end loaders and other heavy equipment,



including but not limited to gravel trucksValid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from workEligible to work in CanadaExperiencePrevious experience working in an equipment/truck repair shop and yard is considered an assetSkills & KnowledgeSelf-starter with problem solving skills and adaptabilityPhysical strength and stamina to operate machinery for extended periodsExcellent hand-eye coordination and situational awareness to handle materials preciselyAbility to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a teamSafety conscious and aware of job site protocolsAttention to detail, reliable, and a strong work ethicExcellent communication skillsWORKING CONDITIONSThis position is based in Fort St John and often works within the yard and other locations. Must be able to work 8–10 hour days, 5–6 days a week.Successful completion of a pre-employment drug and alcohol test is required as a condition of employment.
