The Dietary Aide performs various duties including meal service to residents, tray assembly, snack preparation - all while maintaining a safe, sanitary, and organized work environment. The Dietary Aide works as a team with other Dietary staff members to provide quality service and care to the residents. They report to the Lead Cook and to the Nutritional Care Manager, and communicate with other departments to ensure consistent and accurate outcomes.

The Casual Dietary Aide is available to cover unfilled shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Shifts are available as needed by the home.

The Dietary Aide adheres to standards set by The Pearl, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, the Public Health Act and the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care. This position is instrumental in providing comfort and care to our residents.

Must be able to provide the following current/updated:
Protected Food Handlers Certificate




Vulnerable Sector Police Check (within last 6 months)
TB Screening (within last 6 months)
updated MMR, tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, and varicella vaccinations

Preference will be given to those with a Food Service Worker Certificate.

Pay: $22.26-$25.38 per hour
