Industrial Mechanic /Millwright/Apprentice

Primary Responsibilities:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain and repair production equipment and/or facility equipment independently to minimize downtime
Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections
Fabricate parts and other equipment as per instructions or blueprint
Communicate daily repair activity with Supervisors and with other Departments
Other duties as assigned by managers.

Requirements:
3rd or 4th year Apprentice Program or
Red Seal Certified Millwright
Thorough knowledge and proven track record of working with mechanics, pneumatic, hydraulic, machine shop practices (lathe & milling machines) and welding (TIG, MIG)

Experience with drill presses, grinders, saws, and other machine shop tools
Familiar with health and safety regulations, strong safety track record
Excellent problem solving and communication skills
Able and willing to work in a rapid-paced setting, proactive, flexible and hard working
Excellent sense of urgency and time management, able to perform daily tasks with minimal supervision
Able to speak, write, read and understand English
Legally authorized to work in Canada

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$45.00 per hour
