Join Burnaby Hospital’s Acute care team as a Health Care Assistant, where your role is vital in promoting patient comfort and overall wellness. Work in a supportive workplace under trained nursing staff.
We are currently looking for Casual Health Care Assistants at Burnaby Hospital in Burnaby, B.C. Your responsibilities will include providing personal care, supporting medication compliance, and carefully documenting patient activities. As part of our transformation into a modern healthcare campus, engage in comprehensive patient-centered initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide bathing, grooming, and toileting assistance to patients
• Document daily activities in patient charts accurately
• Assist with meal service and dietary compliance checks




• Measure and record vital signs as instructed by nursing staff
• Maintain a clean and organized patient care environment
Requirements:
• Graduation from a recognized Health Care Assistant program
• Current registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry
• Food Protected Level One certification required
• Excellent ability to communicate and interact with patients
• Robust physical capability to perform job duties
