Seabird Island is hiring a Land to Table Farm Assistant to support agricultural activities at Tém:éxw li te Letam Farm. This position offers hands-on experience during the growing season, ideal for budding agricultural enthusiasts.
In this role, you'll work directly under the Acting Holistic Nutrition Wellness Lead, helping with various responsibilities related to crop production and community involvement. The position allows you to actively participate in maintaining farm activities and contribute to a culturally inclusive farming operation that respects Indigenous practices and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in planting and crop maintenance activities across fields
• Monitor and adjust irrigation systems as necessary
• Harvest and prepare vegetables, fruits, and herbs for market




• Support general upkeep of farm structures and tools
• Engage in community relations to enhance farm visibility
Requirements:
• Interest in agriculture, sustainability, and outdoor work
• Able to lift and perform physical tasks in varying weather
• Dependable and punctual, both independently and as a team player
• No experience needed; comprehensive training will be offered
