Crosskey Marketing Inc. is seeking an experienced Locomotive Engineer to support rail operations on a shortline railway. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of locomotives and the movement, switching, and placement of railcars on the line.

We are looking to fill a variety of employment arrangements, including full-time, part-time, casual, and contract positions.

Responsibilities

- -Operate locomotive and work safely and efficiently in both yard and road operations.
- -Operate both freight and passenger trains.
- -Perform train movements and general switching in coordination with the Conductor.
- -Perform daily locomotive inspections.
- -Maintain strict adherence to operating rules, operating procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

- -Previous experience as a Locomotive Engineer is required.




- -Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to identify basic mechanical issues and support troubleshooting efforts.
- -Solid communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- -Effective radio communication skills.
- -Ability to work safely with minimal supervision.
- -Physically capable of climbing, walking uneven surfaces, and working in all weather conditions.
- -Applicants are required to hold a valid drivers license.
- -Employment is conditional upon passing CROR rules examination and railway medical.
