As a Strategic Business Partner, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our city by bridging the gap between high-level strategy and daily operations. You will work closely with leadership to ensure our department's goals align with the city’s long-term vision while remaining fiscally responsible. This is an opportunity to lead integrated teams and drive continuous improvement across a diverse range of services. We invite you to bring your expertise in planning and performance to a team dedicated to building a great city.*** Contribute to the development of department and branch business strategies in alignment with the City’s Strategic Planning Framework * Lead and facilitate business planning processes, translating corporate direction into actionable plans for various branches * Develop, implement, and monitor performance measures to identify trends and recommend corrective actions for service delivery * Collaborate with financial teams to ensure business planning is integrated with budget processes * Identify, monitor, and report on risks and mitigation plans to ensure operational safety and efficiency * Facilitate the creation and update of policies, supporting audits and Council reports as required * Act as a trusted advisor to collaborators across the organization,



providing expertise on strategic and corporate plansQualifications :* University degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Public Administration, Planning, Humanities, or a related discipline * A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in strategic and operational business planning, risk management, and performance measurement * Proven experience in interpreting financial data and developing business cases**Assets**:* Previous leadership, facilitation, and project management experience within a public sector environment**Skills required for success**:* Considerable knowledge of the business planning cycle, policy development, and benchmarking procedures * Strong ability to synthesize complex data into meaningful insights that support decision-making * Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to build consensus among people with varying levels of expertise * Proven ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and manage integrated projects effectively * Ability to build strong working relationships and provide confident advice to senior leadership * Alignment to our Cultural Commitments and Leadership Competencies () * Embracing a culture of equity, diversity,
