TEMPORARY ELECTRICIANThe Burnaby School District is looking to hire Temporary Electricians to work throughout the district. This position installs, maintains, repairs, and tests a variety of electrical/electronic systems and equipment to ensure the safety and operation of district buildings and facilities.QualificationsCompletion of Grade 12 or equivalentElectrical Trades Qualification (TQ)Four years related work experience post-TQValid B.C. Driver's License (Class 5)Thorough knowledge of construction and construction safety practicesExperience in reading blueprintsRecent BC Electrical Code training/refresherPhysical condition and health to perform duties (climbing ladders, working in crawl/confined spaces, lifting heavy materials/objects)Good interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication skillsKnowledgeable of safety procedures and materials, methods, and equipment related to electricalA self-starter with ability to organize daily tasks,



work independently and as part of a teamThis position pays $42.51 per hour, complemented by a benefits package which includes dental and extended health advantages, paid sick time, vacation pay, education fund and other incentives.Only those individuals under consideration will be contacted.
