At Extendicare, we are looking for a passionate individual to join our recreation team on a casual basis. You will plan and implement engaging activities for residents, monitor their well-being, and maintain necessary records. Your knowledge in geriatric care and recreation services will be crucial in meeting individual and group needs effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and implement individual and group activation programs
• Transport residents to and from scheduled activities
• Monitor resident behavior and report changes to the Supervisor




• Maintain records according to department policy
• Clean and set up activity areas as needed
Requirements:
• Completed approved Recreation and Leisure Services/Gerontology Diploma or Degree
• Experience in one-on-one/group program planning
• Knowledge of resident assessments and care planning
• Robust understanding of cognitively impaired geriatric population
• Valid Vulnerable Sector Check required prior to interview
