Oxford Learning Brooklin is seeking part‑time teachers to tutor high‑school math and science students (Grades 9‑12) in an in‑person setting. Applicants must be able to commute to the Brooklin location; this is not an online role.
Employment type: Part‑time. Pay: $18.00–$20.00 per hour.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
Teaching or tutoring experience for grades 9‑12.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Robust math skills and ability to guide student understanding.
Ability to multitask with up to three students at a time.
Teaching certification a plus.
Fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered.
Vulnerable sector screening mandatory.
Schedule
Mon‑Thu 3:00 pm–7:00 pm (twice per week)
Sat 9:00 am–12:00 pm (some days)
Commitment through the end of the term in June is preferred; summer continuation is even better.
Responsibilities
Teach up to three students at a time at different levels.
Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
Fill in post‑lesson notes and complete daily student communication updates.
Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor at all times.
Teach in‑person.
