Become a vital part of the Town of Fort Smith as the Coordinator of Protective Services. This role focuses on operational leadership in emergency management and community safety.

In this full time position, you will report directly to the Director of Protective Services. You will supervise and coordinate activities within the Protective Services Department, ensuring compliance and effective emergency response. An emphasis on training, planning, and problem-solving will be key aspects of your role.

Key Responsibilities:
• Act as Deputy Protective Services Chief during emergencies
• Oversee volunteer training and certification
• Develop the Emergency Management Program
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
• Support Occupational Health & Safety initiatives

Requirements:
• Diploma in Emergency Management or Public Safety
• Five years of relevant experience required
• NFPA 1021 Fire Officer I certification
• Emergency Medical Responder certification
• Solid organizational and leadership skills
