including spare parts and light bulbsMaintain storage areas for easy access by maintenance staffMaintain reference materials, including drawings, manuals, and as-built documentationOrganize, research, and coordinate workCommunicate promptly and professionally with clients, suppliers, partners and teammatesWork with outside contractorsPromote health and safety in the workplacePerform other duties as requiredQualificationsMust have a valid electrical Red Seal ticketMust have an operator’s ticket T/QMust be able to carry an apprentice and hotel building permitMinimum of 1 year recent experience as a journeyperson electricianMinimum of 3 years’ recent experience in a fast-paced, unsupervised service environment, including problem solving and troubleshootingComputer literate with ability to conduct online research and troubleshoot electronic components connected to building systemsExperience in maintenance of electrical equipment, repair of electrical/mechanical apparatus, appliance repair, and new constructionAbility to read electrical drawings and troubleshoot where drawings are unavailableProven leadership qualitiesPrevious hotel experience is an assetSelf-motivated learner of new systems and technologiesPhysical Aspects of PositionThe position is physically demanding. The successful applicant must be able to perform repetitive work, including kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds. Ability to stand and walk for long periods (up to 8 hours) and to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, and ramps as needed.Visa RequirementsMust be legally eligible to work in Canada.
