As a Manager – Environmental Health and Safety you will design, develop, implement and oversee the organization’s environmental, health and safety programs and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities. You will administer policies and procedures that cover two or more functional areas in the environmental, health and safety job family. You will ensure employees in functional areas follow established procedures and comply with federal, state and local regulations.ResponsibilitiesIdentify opportunities for process improvement and implement departmental initiatives with the goal of improving services and on-time delivery.Interface and collaborate with internal and external customers, establishing solid working relationships, and driving the continued growth of the EH&S; services.Enhance companywide communication by promoting knowledge share between the EH&S; Service team and the rest of the organization with the goal of enhancing technical acumen and improving overall customer satisfaction.Improve and ensure team adherence to procedures while handling escalated external customer requests such as order status and follow up, expediting, shipping, and product receipt.Develop and maintain customer specific performance metrics and scorecards to identify opportunities for improvement.Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the EH&S; Service team and lead an interactive training program that utilizes resources such as internal, hands‑on process training, off‑site courses, and seminars to promote continuous growth and development of the organization.Provide challenging opportunities that promote continuous improvement and enhance employee career growth, recognize and reward employees for accomplishments, and assist HR in the recruitment process for EH&S; Service team roles.Contribute toward various non‑routine responsibilities, projects,



and company growth initiatives.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or related scientific or technical field required.Minimum of 5 years’ experience performing and managing teams or projects focused on EH&S; services.Minimum of 2 years’ experience of personal subject matter expertise or credentials (PE, CSP, CIH, etc.) in one or more of the EH&S; services listed.Minimum of 3 years’ experience in safety sales and distribution.Established client relationships relevant to the services outlined above.Fluency or proficiency in French (Canadian) highly preferred.Experience working collaboratively with union‑represented employees in support of EH&S; initiatives preferred.Ability and willingness to travel 50% of the time.Compensation$98,653 – $139,000 annually. This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements. For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents.
