providing leadership on proposals and projects.Mentor junior Water Resources Engineers in Training and technologists.Be involved in project phases such as planning, design, tendering, and construction.Conduct site visits to assess project sites, carry out construction field reviews, and/or complete emergency flood response services.Perform hydrological analysis and watershed modelling.Assess climate change impacts to support planning and design of infrastructure.Execute hydraulic analysis and modelling of creeks, rivers, channels, culverts, bridges, and water management structures.Conduct floodplain modelling and mapping.Model hydraulic systems for drainage and stormwater infrastructure.Analyze hydrometeorological datasets statistically.Map and spatially analyse GIS data.Design hydrotechnical water management infrastructure and flood protection systems such as dikes, bank erosion/scour protection, shoreline erosion protection, inlet/outlet structures, spillway channels, culverts, bridges, weirs, sediment basins, and wetlands.Prepare technical writing and client deliverables.Coordinate and manage projects.Prepare proposals.Meet project requirements in a timely and effective manner.Develop a career path focused on technical leadership,



project management, client management, or a combination based on your aspirations and qualifications.Does this sound like you?Undergraduate degree in engineering or applied sciences from an accredited post‑secondary institution. A graduate degree and/or a water resources focus in your educational background will be considered an asset.Registered, or eligible for registration as a Skilled Engineer with EGBC.8+ years of experience.Experience in coastal/shoreline engineering is considered an asset.Experience analysing and designing a variety of solutions for water resources projects.Experience using water resources software such as HEC‑RAS, HEC‑HMS, HEC‑SSP, R, MIKE+, SWAN, Raven, and PCSWMM.Experience in GIS and spatial analysis software such as QGIS, Manifold, or ArcGIS.Ability to work both collaboratively in team environments and independently.Highly self‑motivated with excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites.AE is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages women, Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, members of visible minorities, and members of the LGBTQ+ community to apply.
